I am currently in the proposal stage of my solar journey and have been working with Arlo Flinter, who conducted the initial survey at my house. I really appreciated how thorough the process has been so far. Arlo took the time to look at the best placement for the panels and battery, while explaining every detail regarding the technology and installation. They even used a drone for the survey to ensure total accuracy. From this experience alone, I feel very comfortable that I am in expert hands. I’ll be sure to update this review if I proceed with Kimbletech for the full installation, but I highly recommend them based on the professional service provided so far.

Had my system fitted in October. Far and away the most competent of all the solar companies I contacted. Technical information was made very clear, the terms were well laid out and the benefits explained thoroughly. Fitting was flawless and all the technicians were really nice genuine people. Pure Excellence throughout

Quite simply I cannot fault any part of the whole experience. - No pressure in the sales/selection - at all. We went cold for a year and picked up as we started no issues - Installation was very easy. Polite and helpful staff, very clean instal with excellent communication. - Excellent commissioning - all set up and functioning. Any issues from our technical idiocy seamlessly sorted. Great Company .

Initial issue about communications, but the Company resolved it immediately after knowledge of my disappointment with a visit of technician who also checked the panels performance that is even better than predicted on design phase.Excellent product,great labour and price.As is a Family Company, very easy to get in touch and sort any kind of matter.Big saving last year, only £35 per month average electric bill with 14 panels on a detached house. Definitely positive Company, I recommend to everyone.

We are very happy with the service we have had from Kimble Solar. It has been a year since the installation and I have recently added a third battery to the system. I have recommend Kimble to friends as the price of the array was competitive and the installation was undertaken exactly according to our preferred timings. The after sales service has been good although we haven’t really needed much further assistance.

Good service throughout

Kimble Solar gave good service throughout the proposal stage and then installation. I chose them over the other bidders because I believed that they'd thought of everything and that what they proposed would work ... and it has worked, perfectly. I am glad I chose Kimble Solar and would recommend them without hesitation.

Fantastic job - pleasure to do business with

Kimble Solar have been a pleasure to do business with right from their first response to my initial query through to the installation itself. There was a bit of a hiccup with the scaffolding that prolonged the installation by a couple of day but in the overall scheme of things that didn’t matter. The installation team (electrician and roofer) were very polite and professional. As our install was done right at the end of November we are not yet getting full benefit from the installation as a result of the short days and weather, however, 2 weeks in we are slightly exceeding their predicted daily generation for December. I would not hesitate to recommend them, indeed I am talking to them about installing a system for our village hall for which I am a trustee.

First steps into solar energy …

We knew nothing about solar energy beyond the plethora of information which we were bombarded with via the internet and its algorithms. This left us feeling vulnerable to making an expensive mistake through mis information or misunderstanding . We needed someone who would explain the options , advantages and pitfalls in words of one , ok maybe two , syllables and we found just the right company in Kimble . Now let me make it clear -our installation has still to happen and maybe a few weeks away yet but this review relates solely to the all important ‘first impressions’ and level of initial communication . In short we are delighted and relieved with our decision to this point and will write again post installation . This was our letter to Kimble : Dear Rebecca , I thought I would write a quick email to you following our visit from Brent yesterday and our subsequent signing off on the deal . I thought it might be helpful to know why we chose Kimble over the other , cheaper , pitch . And it’s actually very simple; good , old fashioned customer service which we experienced at every stage from initial enquiry to this signing up point . We have every confidence that it will continue through the install and into the inevitable set up issues and questions . The Which accolade is a further reassurance but it is the personal approach and customer facing contact that has really made the difference . Keep it up and more (solar) power to the Kimble elbows ! Trustworthy and professional

Trustworthy, professional company. They were quick to respond to my enquiry about solar panels, sent someone knowledgeable to work out what I wanted, answered my questions, with no hard sell, quoted quickly and the final bill was as quoted, no more. Installation was quick (one day) and tidy and my further questions and requests were met efficiently. The panels are working as promised and saving a lot on my electricity bill. Very satisfied.

A great experience for what was quite a complex install

Our home visit went really well and the video Benji took of our house made it easy to understand his suggested panel layout. The installers were really friendly and professional, listened to what I wanted and followed my ideas when they could. We've had the system installed for two weeks now and have not used any grid electricity since then!

An excellent supplier - I'm about to employ them for my third project

I have used Kimbletech on two occasions and am about to use them for another project. In October 2023 I employed them to upgrade my existing solar installation with the addition of batteries and extra solar panels. Kimbletech were enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and responsive. They quickly provided a detailed and fair quote. I was impressed enough to proceed without seeking other quotations - and I have had no regrets. The installation was completed on the agreed date, efficiently and professionally, by a great team. In 2025, I decided to further enhance my solar system by replacing the sixteen 250-watt panels that made up the original installation with new 500-watt panels. Once again, I chose Kimbletech, and the entire process was smooth and hassle-free. The work was carried out to the highest standard, and I was completely satisfied with the results. I will soon be adding an Air-to-Air Heating and Air Conditioning System, which integrates perfectly with solar energy systems. I have again entrusted Kimbletech to handle this installation. I have no hesitation in awarding Kimbletech a five-star rating and wholeheartedly recommend their services to anyone within their coverage area.

Kimble Solar - Simply the best!

Reviewed several Solar companies before choosing Kimble, we didn't want a Corporate company using subcontractors on our roof. From start to finish the service provded by Kimble was excellent as are their traceable products. A few months in we're very pleased with what we chose, if you're looking to have Solar installed you'll not easily find a better company than Kimble Solar.

After doing my research (4 companies quoted for the work), I opted for Kimble Solar to install me a PV and battery system. They have demonstrated a caring and professional approach, with the personal touch that comes from being family run. Everyone I have dealt with has been fantastic, courteous and polite, answering calls and emails promptly. At the initial meeting, John was really switched on, giving great advice - without knocking other companies approaches (he offered friendly advice that left me to make informed decisions). Bec has kept me informed every step of the way, always getting back to me promptly. The installers Matt and Craig were a pleasure to deal with. They arrived on time, consulted with me throughout the day and left the place clean and tidy on departure. I could not be happier with the work they have provided. I can honestly say that Kimble Solar have been amazing. A first rate company that I would have no issue recommending to friends and family. One of the very best companies I have had complete works at my property.

Highly Recommended Recently completed a 16 panel domestic solar panel system with Optimisers and Battery. Installation team highly competent and professional and already delighted with the solar power now generated to my Battery and dwelling. Scaffolders equally efficient with scaffolding installed a day before the system installers started work and removed two days after completion. Much impressed and would recommend the company.

Wow. 5* Service all the way.

Wow, I had enquired with another local business who was too busy to take on my sales enquiry, but passed me to Kimble Solar as a recommendation. From the moment Rebecca made the initial call to me, I knew these were the team to go with. Local, Honest, Upfront and a genuine friendly company. Chris came and met with me, and having installed a smaller array of solar panels myself with DNO approval, I knew the process, and trade pricing, and was able to chat technical, along with some recommendations on my self install thrown in for free. There was no hard sell or pressure to sign on the day, and having had multiple quotes from other providers who are bigger, it was around the same costs, just without their own staff and using contractors to install. I decided to go with Kimble Solar who installed battery storage along with a 4.5kw array and I am pleased with the outcome. All the staff i have had interactions with have been attentive, friendly and focused on delivering what was agreed.Jason and Conor worked in horrible weather but got the job done in one day. I will be recommending them to friends and family going forward.

I approached Kimble Solar in mid-2023 with an unusual requirement for in-roof PV panels that involved replacing part of our existing roof with new tiles, felt and battens. I also wanted a large battery that would still provide power in the event of a power cut and would integrate with our recently installed heat pump. Because of the amount of roofing work required, Kimble recommended and worked with specialist roofer HSOC roofing. The installation took place in January 2024 in bitterly cold conditions. The installers always arrived on time, were polite and friendly, kept me informed and carried out the work to the highest standards. The panels look great and the installation using the latest technology is very neat. Not only are we generating substantial solar power, but thanks to the battery we have also been able to move to a very competitive tariff with Octopus Energy; the battery automatically provides energy at peak times (4pm to 7pm) when the grid electricity price is high, and charges when solar power is being generated and from the grid if needed when the grid electricity price is low. We are selling our surplus power back to the grid and after six months of operation we appear to have made even greater savings than predicted. We are very pleased with our system and can strongly recommend Kimble Solar.

My Wife and I are so happy with the service we have received from Kimbetech. After looking at and engaging local and national installation companies for quotes we realised that there were massive differences in the approach all take to customer service. Kimbetech were so easy to deal with and their commitment and engagement to us as customers has been excellent. From Sales to after sale review the team have been amazing. The installation team were really helpful, detailed and polite. The standard of work is really high. Having that personal touch from a local company has been a breath of fresh air and I have recommended to so many others that they should look into using them or if further away to try and engage with local installation companies as the service seems to be better. 2 months in we are so pleased and impressed with how our system is running.

Kimbletech solar panel installation experience Ten companies were invited to send proposals for solar panels and batteries. Kimbletech were selected, not because they were the cheapest, but because their proposal met my needs and they offered a quality product and quality support. I got a visit from their surveyor. He looked at everything. Roof, roof access, battery and inverter location, consumer unit location. He even measured the size of the roof beams (presumably to check they take the weight). We discussed options. I had thought of getting an EDDI - a device that directs spare solar power (after the house and battery needs are satisfied) to create hot water. He did not think I would gain anything with this device with my layout so it was dropped. Shortly after I got a call to arrange installation. We agreed a date and they turned up on that date at 8 o'clock. It was a wet day. That didn't stop two guys working on the roof installing 10 panels. They did break two tiles (and found another broken one). All three tiles were replaced that day at no extra cost that day. Meanwhile two more guys installed the battery and inverter (the clever box that links solar panels to the battery, the house and the grid) in the loft. Neat job. The following day the system was commissioned. First by Kimbletech then a remote test of the battery (checking charge and discharge rates) and inverter by the equipment builder GivEnergy. GivEnergy supply a really smart app that allows you to monitor and control the system. We had one glitch, noted in the evening after the commission, but an email to Kimbletech that evening prompted a quick response the following morning and an electrician visit a day later (on a Saturday!) to diagnose and fix the minor problem. I'm happy. The system is performing as expected and as specified. Do I have any regrets? Yes. I should have done this years ago. Thank you Kimbletech. Thank you GivEnergy. Kimble Solar installed a solar panel and battery storage system to by 3 bed semi in Tylers Green back in June 2022. The team were polite and respectful of my home during the install and have popped back twice now to help me set up the app and analysis the data. Great before, during and after customer care. I am really impressed with the system’s performance and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the company.

I had Kimbletech in carry out the electrical works on our house extension and I couldn’t be happier with their work from start to finish. They generated a plan to show where all the sockets/switches were going to go so I could clearly plan ahead and ensure everything was how we wanted it to be. They are a really brilliant company, great communication and advice. The staff from office to site are very professional, approachable and polite. I’d highly recommend them!
